May is National High Blood Pressure Month.
An estimated 1 in 3 American adults have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Another 1 in 3 may be at risk for high blood pressure.
High blood pressure causes/contributes to at least 1 in 4 deaths each year. This month we want to increase your awareness and give you some facts about cardiovascular risks and how to prevent them.
We want to encourage you to take at least one heart healthy action today. Some examples of heart healthy actions are- get regular checkups, maintain a healthy weight, eat a healthy diet, and exercise.
